Freeway Fighters Digest (week of 9/16)

Lauren MayerWeekly News Digest

Hi all,

Here is what is being said about freeway fighting this week. If you come across any articles, feel free to share and please let me know if you have any questions.

The call for nominations is now open for the ninth biannual Freeways Without Futures report! Submitting to the 2025 Freeways Without Future report is a great opportunity to get local campaigns in the national spotlight while also harnessing the support of a nationwide freeway fighting coalition.

For campaigns that have graduated from Freeway Without Future nominee or have received Reconnecting Communities financing, please submit updates to help us hold government officials and financers accountable for putting financing towards true removal and reconnection projects. FWF nominations and campaign updates are due November 1, 2024.

Join us for our next Freeway Fighters Monthly Meetup. The meeting is on Wednesday, September 25, 2024 at 4:00 – 5:00pm ET. Join Zoom Meeting: https://us06web.zoom.us/j/85374450268.
